🌍 Domaine Drouhin Oregon Cloudline Pinot Noir 2021
🌍 Domaine Drouhin Oregon Cloudline Pinot Noir 2021
Oregon’s position on the western mountain side of the West Coast of USA leaves it exposed to the influence of the Ocean. Vintage variation can be a huge problem if not carefully monitored. Oregon is Pinot Noir country. Expect depth and complexity. Elegant fruit and spice and earthiness likened to Old World Burgundy. Chardonnay also does well here.
'Cloudline' is Drouin’s expression of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir - fruit forward, silky and layers of complexity. Garnet colour in appearance with a nose of garnet colour is immediately striking and aromatics of summery red cherry, red plum and light warm spice characters leap from the glass. The palate is fresh and fruit-driven.
